The next part of the fall rush is upon us, none other than weaning season! These calves are all 5-7 months old and are ready for life on their own, or as we call it "adulthood." The mamas need a break before winter and next year's calving season which will start in February. They'll be sorted off the cows, hauled home, processed and kicked out with the rest of the calves.
🔔 Subscribe to @thatfitagvocate for more updates on our farm. From calving season to raising healthy cattle that become the beef and byproducts you use daily, we share every part of the farming experience, including the tough moments that come with it.
As a farmer's daughter, I’ll take you behind the scenes of what it’s like to be part of this journey and show you the entire journey and all the work that goes into raising and selling beef cattle. From calving season to weaning to shipping cattle to the packer -- you'll see it all throughout the year!
Stay tuned for a new VLOG coming soon! New videos are posted on Tuesday & Thursdays at 4 pm throughout the year with bonus videos during busier seasons on Sunday mornings at 9 am. All times are central time.
