The day starts with Will in the John Deere 9700 on farm at Nutson Farm for their maize harvest. We’ve followed this crop since it was drilled post grass silage back in the spring.
We’ve got 3 tractors and trailers running back to Tony on the silage pit buckraking in his John Deere 6R250.

Elsewhere Ant is tanking in the JCB Fastrac iCON 8330 and Samson slurry tanker.

We catch up with Steve drilling winter wheat in the 8D410 and Horsch Focus drill. We’re going into the maize stubbles and putting ‘Champion’ in the ground after it performed well last year.

The day ends with me on a tractor and trailer helping out on a longer run of maize harvest as we go in to our newest block of ground and go in to our worst crop of maize for the year and probably the worst crop of maize we’ve ever grown!
So far we’ve had a great harvest so you have to take the rough with the smooth!
