Maize harvest continues in the John Deere 9700 as Will continues to chop through the acres on the North Devon Coast.
We see some impressive yields again on the maize as it’s performed well in this years conditions.

Elsewhere Steve is off drilling the first winter wheat with the 8R410 and Horsch Focus drill.

In the afternoon a big delivery arrives as a new John Deere 8R370 arrives to replace Andrew’s machine heading back the other way after 6000 hours. The machine comes complete with central tyre inflation and a good set of wheel weights on the back wheels. We replace some air fittings and the hitch and Andrew heads straight back out on the maize run.

The day ends with an unfortunate ‘breakdown’ of sorts. And oil pipe went, which would usually just be a couple of hours to get the part and fix but as we were on a delivery curfew it meant chopping ended for the day!
