The day starts with me jumping in a John Deere 250 to join the trailers on the maize run, pulling the Bunning grain trailer.
Very quickly my day is ruined as an oil leak due to a damaged o-ring leaves me stranded on the main road.
I do eventually manage to get my trailer filled by Will in the 9700 forage harvester and get the trailer back to the AD plant’s silage clamp, however the tractor has a fault that means I have to drop off!

As I’m back at the yard, Tony calls to say he’s had a trailer tyre blow out in the middle of town - so I have to load up a tyre and wheel and head his way so it can be refitted.

Eventually I make it up to Will in the John Deere 9700 and record some of the maize harvest - darkness had fell so I got the drone up so we could see what was going on from the headlights. Good yields of maize from the fields today, at a good dry matter of around 35% so very happy in terms of crop quality but a frustrating day elsewhere!
