In today's episode of farming life at la forge, we get delivery of a Murphy concrete drinking trough and foot bath. Calving season has begun and dad will show you around what has already calved and to calve. We use the Bo Steel calving gate for the first time helping a small heifer calve a bull calf. The bulls have been taken away from the cows and now we are letting the young bulls out together in the field "the pad" where they are fighting it out to determin who is boss. The older bulls however are going down to our bull shed as they tend to fight more, with more risk of hurting one another.
