Your baby chickens will need three things, food, water, and warmth. For your brooder checklist you should make sure you have:

- A clean dry area
- Keep drafts of air off the chicks but make sure the space is ventilated
- clean feeders and waterers with soap and water
- make sure all of your heat lamps work
- make sure you have enough heat lamps for the number of chicks you have (always good to have an extra on hand)
