In case you're lost when I talk about what happened to my orchard then watch this video first:

So I got my hands on this great video "The Permaculture Orchard"

Here's the website:
http://www.permacultureorchard.com/
After seeing this video and the information that Stefan I knew I needed to approach the orchard differently. Re-organized, optimized with different theories in practice and slightly different motivations.
Things that are going into the new orchard plan:
- more crop diversity
- organization by harvest date
- additional space and housing for beneficials (bird boxes, etc...)
Perennial plants are a big waiting game. That is part of what makes them both easy and difficult to deal with. You don't have to touch the plant every day, but what you do on the days you do work with them can alter the course of their lives for better or worse. There is also So much information out there, like most anything else in farming, that it takes a lot of effort to learn, digest, apply, and study all of it. Then best I can do is gather what information that I can and take the best actions from there with what I have learned.
I hope you enjoy following along. Farming is a life-long learning process and the journey is pretty fun!
Cheers!
