I got lucky in that I only faced a small obstacle and I had more pasture to move to. Where you can get into trouble as a pastured poultry farmer is when you have miscalculated the distance and you run out of pasture completely when the birds are at their biggest.
Farming is nothing if not the dance of having a good plan in place and then being able to adjust once that plan changes or fails. Today's pasture move was an easy choice but there are a lot of other day to day decisions that can be a lot harder.
