The devil is in the details when it comes to farming. While just taking a seed and putting it in the ground or taking a chicken and putting it in a field may seem easy, there are a lot of things to consider when you want to do this effectively and even professionally.
Choosing what sex the chickens you have on farm are is one of those details that can make or break what you are doing. In this video I talk about some of the nuances that I have found with ordering chicks and how that effects my farm plan.
Being a professional farmer takes skill, intelligence, passion, and dedication. Any person can raise their own food, any person at all, and I believe that. However, it takes a lifetime to become a great farmer and I have truly learned to enjoy the process. every day presents a new challenge and I learn a new lesson. Sometimes they are happy lessons, sometimes they are hard lessons. But, there is always tomorrow.
Happy farming!
