I am doing something I haven't done in years, nothing. haha! For the first time in four years I will have nothing alive on farm over the winter.

I feel that I have wasted money in the past and had some unnecessary stress trying to keep chickens or raise vegetables through the winter. To be clear, it can be done, and it can be done way better than I have done it I'm sure. I just don't want to try again this winter.

Kate and I have really discovered the benefits of winter planning, assessment, and rest. The farming season is fulfilling but draining on mind, body, and soul. We are taking this winter to do all the paperwork we've been neglecting, services all the equipment we have been neglecting, and spend time with all the family and friends we have been neglecting.

One of the things I want to work on this winter is Farm Marketing Solutions website. Last winter Scott and I had to do a whole redesign and a lot got lost or disorganized in the process. We have done our best through the year to put it all back together and work towards a more functional and organized website. We'll be working on that again as well as creating some new types of content.

I will not be able to post videos quite as often but the videos I will post will be more in depth on topics like my finances, farm planning, and servicing farm equipment.
