This video is a more comprehensive look at The Grass Whisperers' winter cattle area. There are three areas with different elements in each that the cattle will like. The three areas also allow for different access points to the pasture.

For wintering cattle you want to keep a few things in mind:

- your manure isn't going right on to pasture, make sure you have a plan to manage it so that you are not polluting your water supply or your neighbors' water supply
- make it easy for the cattle to get in and out as needed
- have access to feed your cattle from feed stored nearby
- manage mud and water
- manage water running off roofs
- make it secure so your cattle aren't escaping
