vlog: Cold Outside, Baby Chickens in the Brooder 4-14-2016

10.58am - Thursday 14th April 2016 7,401

The outside temperatures got down to 41 degrees F last night. That's pretty chilly. It's part of the reason I don't start chicks any earlier in the year. I just don't like risking that my chicks will get too cold. I went out early to check on them and guess what? They did great last night!

The chicks were up and about eating and drinking and getting their day started. You know, checking Instagram, responding to emails, making coffee, the usual stuff. The pigs on the other hand, they wanted nothing to do with me.

I love sharing my farming journey! Not everything I do is the right thing to do, but we're all learning together. A lot of why I love what I do are the crops that I grow, the animals I raise, the community that surrounds the farm, and the beautiful scenery that I get to experience with my family on a day to day basis. I'm happy to have you following along and thank you for watching the videos.

Cheers!

John
