I have learned a lot of lessons over the years. This year I have learned a very important lesson not only in farming but in life in general. That lesson: enjoy the process!

There is always an imaginary better life on the horizon. You can dream of any scenario you want, that's why it is called dreaming. The reality is that I live my dream every day. I have a wonderful family, I love my job, and I work in a place where I get to see them every day. Sure I work pretty much 7 days a week all year but there is a good balance between work and play. It's less of a balance and more of a blend.

Everyone dislikes their jobs some times. I've been there in the past before agriculture and even now at times with agriculture as a career. the thing about now is that the lows that I experience aren't that bad and the amount of good I experience on a day to day basis far outweighs any of the bad.

Farming is a career you can make money at. It is a career you can be blissfully happy with. Farming can support your family, put food in your belly, and all the while regenerate the planet. What else is going to give you that?
