Rodent guards used in apple orchard

Girdling is a problem especially in young apple orchards. That is when a rodent eats all the bark off of the bottom of the tree which kills the tree because it can no longer move water or nutrients up and down the trunk.

Putting in simple rodent guards helps protect your young orchard from those pesky pests by adding a barrier and from hiding the tree from them.
