Nesting boxes can be a sticky situation, literally. Keeping birds in and poop out is an exercise of patience and balance. It's winter and we don't have nesting box closers installed which makes it so the birds are roosting on the edges of the boxes. The messier the boxes the dirtier the eggs which is no good. For now we are changing the hay in the boxes often and encouraging the birds to roost elsewhere.
