I have had luck sourcing pigs from Craigslist. It can be a crap shoot at times, you never know what you're going to find when you get to the farm that's advertising, but I really liked this breeder.
An important thing for me was sourcing them locally. Somewhere that I didn't have to drive far, which means the pigs didn't have to travel far. That and I wanted someone who was working on their genetics and had good reason for doing what they're doing.
I still have so much to learn about pigs. It's a fun journey to be on. They're great to raise, people want the pork, and they have proven profitable in the past.
