Meet Our New Rams! | Tupping Time w/ Adam Henson

4.00pm - Saturday 25th October 2025 7,892

Autumn has arrived, and it’s that time of year again: tupping time at Cotswold Farm Park. Join Adam Henson and Sam, our new Livestock Manager, as they prepare our rare breed rams for the breeding season using traditional raddle paint. This method allows the team to track which ewes have been successfully served, helping ensure a busy and successful lambing season in spring.

This year’s line-up features four different breeds: the Cotswold, Norfolk Horn, Castlemilk Moorit, and a lively Bagot billy goat. Each has its own unique history and characteristics, from the long, lustrous wool of the Cotswold to the striking horns and primitive nature of the Castlemilk Moorit. Along the way, Adam explains how tupping works, shares tips on handling rams safely, and discusses the vital conservation work being done to protect these traditional British breeds.
