Can you believe the Cornstar's do not always agree with each other? The video starts with putting away the Hagie nitrogen tool bar and then putting the sprayer boom back on the sprayer. It can be a big challenge to take the nitrogen bar off, and to put the sprayer boom on. Both have little room for error and always take way longer than they should.
The next day starts off with an empty sprayer trailer that needed loaded. Once the sprayer trailer was loaded and we filled Brad with a load of corn, we were able to start spraying our soybeans for weeds. I was not able to film a ton in the sprayer due to lack of entertainment factor and pure monotony. I did not film much of the two days we sprayed soybeans. Once we got done spraying, it was time to clean everything up. The main two items I focused on were the sprayer and the sprayer trailer. They are both not much fun to clean. Daddy Cornstar also got the trailer all greased and ready to go for next year.
The day after we started transferring corn from the big bin into the hopper bottom. We had to switch around a few augers and motors to get corn transferring. Our system is still very messy, wasteful, and stinky, but it gets the job done. Once everything was set up, we transferred corn until the hopper bottom was full.
The next day we had a load of soybeans to load and in the midst of loading the carts, a random inch of rain came blowing in and soaked both of the carts full of soybeans. We were concerned for the health of the soybeans in the carts but they soaked up the water and the next day you never would have guessed they were rained on. We were lucky.
Thanks for watching guys!
