This is the first I have ever shown any hay making on our operation. Cooper starts the video running around in the 1991 Case 7140 as he is mowing hay in waterways. He highlights a few of the waterways and talks about some of the challenges he faces while he mows them. Cooper also shines some light onto why he has his hay making business.
Once Cooper is done mowing, we quickly jump into picking up bales that he has already made. Cooper runs around in the 2005 Bobcat T-190 and picks up the bales to put them undercover in various buildings throughout our operation.
The next day I raked everything that Cooper mowed prior. I used the 2745 Massey Ferguson pulling a v-rake to rake the hay. It was smooth going but toward the end of the day we got a call from Cooper saying he snapped a wheel off the Case 7140. Luckily, he did not snap a wheel, he just broke the steering rod. Daddy Cornstar jumped on this repair and got it fixed right away. In the mean time, I pulled the white Volvo semi and the red Volvo semi down to the main heated shop, power washed them, and then cleaned the grain trailers on them as well. While I was working on the semis, Dad jumped in the baler and started baling hay bales. Once I got done with the semis, the Brent 674 grain cart needed a little grease attention and then it was time to call it a night.
Thank you for watching!
