In today's adventure on the farm, I kick off the day by running around our main heated shop discussing our equipment to-do list and talk about some recent upgrades for the farm. After that, I head over to the main farm and run around our grain bin site for a quick update on our corn and soybean hauling status. Then I jump into the main project of the day, which is to DIY wire up the lights in my $7,000 mansion's kitchen. After getting the kitchen lights wired up, I ran into a big problem. The wire I have running to the sub-panel inside my house is much too small - and highly dangerous. I pulled out the dangerous stuff, and measured things for the new, safe, replacement. After a trip to the store, I was able to gather all of the new materials to hopefully wire at least 1/4 of my house. At this time I think I will be able to save $75,000 by wiring my house myself, instead of hiring an electrician.
