Another wonderful day on Cornstar Farms. The door to the big machine shed is finally getting worked on and should but put up within the week. We had to bring the door inside due to getting measurable rains that caused the grounds to be muddy. We tore the door completely apart and started to rebuild the frame. We had a family event come up and we were out of hardware so the door will be resumed in a few days when new materials come in.

Dalton and his brother continue to haul off more scrap metal. In this episode, they were loading a few engine blocks we had lying in the yard. After that, Daddy Cornstar gives a pointer to people who want to visit a farm. Due to the rain, we are still confined to the shop so Daddy Cornstar gives us a little run down on what we need to get done for the day.

Dad decided to start by blowing out the air filter on the 2001 Case IH 2388 combine and I went to work on the older Brent 674 grain cart and the Case IH 2208 corn head. Once we made decent headway on those, Dad jumped to the 1967 Oliver 1950 and tried to diagnose our starting issue with it. We go back to working on the corn head and the Mama Cornstar makes a surprise visit to the shop.

The video concludes with Dad and I running into town to pick up two augers, an 8” and a 10”. We grabbed the 8” issue free. When it came to getting the 10” a John Deere 9600 combine was sitting in the way. Dad had never driven a John Deere combine before so he was in for a new experience.
