The last time we reared this many calves was 2016 when we moved to Laitha, back then all the 40 odd calves that year were reared on buckets and it was my job to teach them how to drink from a bucket and then fill ten buckets at a time it was carnage. Thankfully we invested in some milk bars the following year and haven’t looked back. I’m petitioning for a milk taxi now. These calves came from a super farm down the road and as you can see are shiny and healthy and thriving.
