So we have been a bit stuck recently getting the sheep home off an allotment up stainmore, the road is being resurfaced and diverted onto the other side of the carriageway, ideally the tups should have been in last week but alas a wagon couldn’t get up there. So we arranged for today and unfortunately meant a million mile diversion to bowes turnoff. SO two of the girls look a bit scratty so we are getting them all dipped but more on that when it happens as it’s quite dramatic and interesting.

Poorly calf should most probably have been disposed off (if you know what I mean) but I’m a soft arse like really and he didn’t seem in any pain so I started him on a course of antibiotics and painkillers and he’s rallying a little bit. The next few days will tell to be honest but to pretend this doesn’t happen would be doing you all a disservice it’s part of farm life and if anyone tells you it isn’t and it doesn’t happen to them is lying and everything what’s wrong with farming in my opinion.

Cow still hasn’t calved she’s taking her time but updates on that when it happens.
